Excerpt from a conversation with GRAŻYNA BARSZCZEWSKA:When I started working on the script a few years ago, of course I confided in it to Stefania. I got her blessing: “If these pieces of mine can be used for a stage, use them a lot. Welcome to the premiere.” Mrs. Stefania is gone... so I feel obligated and anointed. (...) It is important not to lose the finesse and sense of humor for which I have loved Mrs. Stefania since her first book. I hope we share this with the public.
