About the event

What if the city was a book? What stories could be found in it? Maybe about flying herrings, mysterious corners, Christmas customs or about people who have just arrived in Gdynia? Or about you and your favorite places?

On 17 October we invite you to an active tour of the exhibition “GEN.100 — Gdynia Community Code”, during which we will learn what it means to feel at home in the city and what it has to say... Dzidek Dzidek. From Sunday, October 18, a family series of workshops for families with children aged 5-9 entitled “The City Between the Pages” accompanying the exhibition begins. Each meeting will begin with a joint reading of a passage of the book, which will become an inspiration to discover the city, its history, get to know the inhabitants, traditions and contemporary challenges.

With the support of the leading psychologist, the participants will not only get to know Gdynia from different perspectives, but will also develop mindfulness, empathy, critical thinking and improve the ability to cooperate.

“The City Between the Pages” is a cycle that encourages children and their caregivers to consciously explore the place where they live and to build a lasting, personal connection with it.

Deadline: 17.10 and selected Sundays from 18.10.2026 to 14.02.2027, from 12:00-13:30
