Come along for an occult evening at the Flea on the 26th.

About the event

GABESTOK/Metal, Rock

Join us for an occult night at the Flea on November 26, where Scimitar takes us down into their mysterious and sinister blend of black metal, post-punk and occult rock. Gabestok are warming up with their gothic bastard mix of garage punk and black metal!

SCIMITAR was formed in 2024 by veterans of the Copenhagen underground music scene, including members of Slaegt, Endless Glory and Shaam Larein, and emerges as a fully fledged force of nature. Their debut 'Scimitarium I', made the audience familiar with their black, occult rock - and out of the darkness came the recent sequel 'Scimitarium II', where the listener is once again drawn into the mysterious depths where elements of black metal, post-punk and occult rock merge seamlessly.

Dark and snake-like, onyx-black, scaly and holy, Scimitar's music unfolds like an endless serpent lying tightly twisted around the world. Shaam A.'s constant presence provides an abundance of rich, flowing lyrics, delivered with her distinctive and haunting voice. They are supported by twisted, distorted narratives that unfold through fierce but at the same time harmoniously dueling guitars, side by side with an unflinchingly intense.

SCIMITAR has in a short time become an indelible part of the Copenhagen metal scene — a place where tanned forces continue to push to the limits and break with the usual forms with a seemingly effortless fervor. Join us on November 26 at the Flea!

GABESTOK

The roots of Gabestok's sound branch out in many different directions in terms of genre and are more often willow-rotten than decidedly fresh. Punk meets garage rock and black metal pairs with heavy metal. The genre confusion is further infused into a penchant for gothic 70s horror films and the lingering vibe that these films had and have at their best. Then add a dash of western, and you have a proper root pile that separates the sheep from the bucks. We're talking a quackered metal bastard that most people hate to love or love to hate.

Hopefully it'll be more psychedelic than it usually does when they play at the Flea. At least they are looking forward to sharing the stage with all the cosmonauts who have stood on the sticky boards before them and not least Scimitar.
