About the event

We are incredibly excited to announce another edition of Screen Session!
Screen Session is a very special concert experience where music and visual art merge in the darkness of the cinema. On stage you will find Agnes Ea, whose dreamy and atmospheric universe is amplified in the encounter with the unique space and sound of the cinema hall.
Together with sound engineer Bjarke Mathiasen, the music will be adapted to the cinema's Dolby Atmos system, so that the sound not only comes from the stage, but moves around the entire hall, enveloping the audience.
On the big screen, visual artist Hannah Unger Coff unfolds a vivid visual universe that evolves in tandem with the music and creates a direct connection between what you hear and what you see.
Therefore, look forward to an intimate and sensual concert experience, where the cinema is transformed for an evening into a space for live music, pictures and presence.
Program for the evening:
7 p.m.: Doors open
20.00: Concert start

Agnes Ea writes Danish-language art-pop that searches for the grounding in a wireless world. Her newly released debut album Everything Changes Shape strikes a nerve in the spirit of the times, blending orchestral and electronic elements with hand-played band sound. GAFFA wrote in her album review: “She makes the end of the world sound like a beautiful thing”, but underneath the beauty lies something simmering: A rebellion in the gentleness and a courage to take on the fight 'with soft eyes', as she sings to the patriarchy in the track 'No Apologise'.

Everything Changes Shape is the follow-up to the EP Nothing Disappears (2024), which aroused the excitement of both the audience and the media. Soundvenue called her “an artpop comet in the Danish music firmament”, while Politiken chimed in with four hearts, praising with the words “dreamy lyrics bordering on poetry” and “spring friendly electronic pop in the ear canals”.

Hannah Unger Coff works with various formats in video and scenography, including VJ'ing for performances and concerts. Her visual universe is most often made up of abstract figures, which are based on reality and are relayed in various software programs.

She is particularly concerned with the interaction between musician and VJ. Here she is interested in how, through a co-creative process, one can develop a musical and visual expression in which the two elements support and unfold each other in the best possible way.

Bjarke Mathiasen is a music producer and sound engineer specializing in immersive sound and multi-channel formats. In his work - both in the context of releases and concerts - he explores how spatial sound can be used as an active artistic grip that shapes the audience's experience. Based on his bachelor's degree in music production from RMC, he works with conceptual spatiality as an integral part of both production, performance and live performance, which has been expressed in concert contexts at Vega Idealbar and previous Screen Session with Hvidsø.

For this concert, we will utilize the cinema's Dolby Atmos system to expand the sonic experience of the space we're in, bringing the music even closer to each one in the audience than one usually could.

Running time: 90 min.
