Embark on an extraordinary journey through space and time to discover how the elements of life came to be — the building blocks of our solar system, Earth and ourselves.
Where do the ingredients from which life originated come from? The answer lies in the hearts of distant stars and in extremely powerful explosions such as supernova explosions. It is they who scatter the basic elements around galaxies, from which new stars, planets and life can be born.
The film shows how hundreds of millions of cosmic events shaped the elements that make up the solar system, the Earth, and ourselves. Embark on a journey into the interior of a giant star at the end of its life, see stellar remnants collide, and experience the peaceful end of a star similar to our Sun. The oxygen we breathe, the iron in our blood, the silicon that builds the Earth's mantle, and the uranium that heats our planet's core and co-creates its protective magnetic field — all this we owe to the stars. As we travel through space and time, we will study the remains of stellar explosions, trace the journey of elements through our galaxy, and discover how stars are born, live and die. We will also learn how they enrich the Universe with the elements from which the next generations of stars, planets and life are formed.
The show consists of two parts — the first is a walk through the current sky, conducted live by a Polish speaker. The second part is a projection in Polish. The soundtrack in English is available by selecting the headphone icon in the reservation system.
