About the event

We want children to be able to watch the films selected for them in comfortable conditions. Therefore, during the screening we will create a friendly, safe space - there will be no total darkness in the hall; we will limit stimuli, we will not show trailers of other films, so as not to distract the attention of young viewers.

This time, the Pucia family will be accompanied on the screen by unique characters - the dog Funio, the cat Mimi and a whole bunch of pets. As usual, the hero, adored by the youngest viewers, will not be short of adventures. Pucio will plant his first tree during his vacation with his grandparents in the country, and during a walk in the park, together with Misia, he will go on a rescue mission in search of his neighbor's dog. When the beloved Funio feels worse, the siblings will do everything to return the pet to a good mood.

Funio is especially close to me because it has its prototype in my own dog from childhood. The beloved female Vita — a spotted smooth-haired fox terrier — was an energetic, shrewd dog. Instead of a small stick, she preferred to bring us whole branches and branches of trees. Co-creating the scripts for the film “Pucia”, I wanted to show the animals as full members of the family, who are cared for by both adults and children.

— recalls Marta Galewska-Kustra, author of books about Pucio and co-writer of animation An important theme in Pucio loves pets is also family relationships. The voice of Pucia's grandfather was given by Artur Barciś, who also knows this role from his own life. As the actor points out:

I am a grandfather myself, and the stories about Pucio were my favorite reading when I read bedtime stories to my grandchildren. Grandpa Pucia is so “ordinary-unusual” — he loves his grandchildren very much, shows them the world and teaches them different things. Sometimes the simple ones, and sometimes more complicated ones, like DIY. However, the most important thing for him is the time spent together.

Close to everyday childhood experiences, Pucio Loves Pets is another adaptation of Dr. n. Hum's bestselling book series. Marta Galewska-Kustra, with illustrations by Joanna Kłos, published by Wydawnictwo Nasza Księgarnia. Like the previous part, the new episodes are a 45-minute set prepared with the youngest viewers in mind and adapted to their needs.

The adventures of Pucia allow children and their parents to face situations familiar from everyday life with a smile and positive energy. In the second part of the film, the creators will show viewers how to care for animals, build relationships and cope with new challenges, among others.
