After the holiday break we return with the Sefer Club. This time in a new Saturday formula. Over coffee, tea and something “good for the tooth” we will talk about books, their authors and Jewish stories that are worth exploring.
As the first reading after the holiday, we chose “A Thing Not Only About the Wischnitzers, or the Forgotten Tales of the Jews of Knurov”. We invite both those who have already read the book and those who are just planning to get it. Our guest will be the author, Adam Lipiński, with whom we will talk about discovering the history of a small homeland, local stories and the passion that allows us to save people, places and events from oblivion. The book can be purchased at the Upper Silesian Jewish Memorial House, Villa Caro and in the museum's online bookstore.

The Sefer Club is a gathering of books, authors and stories related to Jewish heritage. We read, talk, share associations and discover stories that often lead much further than the reading itself.
Each meeting is a pretext for conversation — about literature, history, memory, places and people, as well as how Jewish stories are present in contemporary culture. We invite both regular participants of the Sefer Club and those who just want to join.
