In 1790s England, the women of the Dashwood family find themselves transplanted from their grand home to a modest country cottage after the loss of their inheritance.
The elder two daughters – the cautious, conscientious Elinor (Edgar-Jones) and the headstrong, passionate Marianne (Creed-Miles) – each try to navigate their position in the world, including the attentions of various suitors who enter their lives.
Adapted for the screen by bestselling novelist Diana Reid (Love & Virtue, Seeing Other People) and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Georgia Oakley (Blue Jean), this sparkling, heartfelt adaptation also stars George MacKay, Caitriona Balfe, Fiona Shaw, Frank Dillane and Herbert Nordrum.
