SHKODRA ELEKTRONIKE

Shkodra Elektronike is a musical project by the two Albanians Kolb Laca (musician and producer, formerly Teatro degli Orrori) and Beatri Gjergji (singer and songwriter), who emigrated to Italy in the early 1990s.

The project was created in 2019 with the aim of transferring traditional songs and sounds from their hometown of Shkodra into a modern, contemporary musical context.

They combine Albanian folk music with electronic sounds and alternative influences to create a unique and modern sound.

In recent years, Shkodra Elektronike have performed in numerous European cities and at renowned festivals on the international ethnic and alternative scene, including the Paleo Festival in Geneva, BALKAN:MOST Festival in Veszprém, PIN Music Conference in Sofia and SOAlive in Vienna.

They were also part of important events relating to contemporary Albanian and Kosovo culture, including at the Venice Biennale, the Autostrada Biennale in Prizren and exhibitions by artist Adrian Paci in Milan, Athens and Tirana.

In 2025, Shkodra Elektronike took 8th place at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, making her unique combination of Albanian tradition and modern electronic music known to an even larger international audience.

In 2026, Shkodra Elektronike will tour Europe and make guest appearances in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart as well as in Vienna, among others.
