Sigurður Flosason: Blue Shoes

This evening La Fontaine presents one of Iceland's best musicians, the saxophonist Sigurður Flosason. He presents on this occasion the music from his latest release, Blue Shoes. The contributors on the record and at the concert are the Danes Kjeld Lauritsen on Hammondorgel and Kristian Leth on drums, with whom he has collaborated on previous releases. From Sweden comes the eminent guitarist Erik Söderlind. The music consists entirely of Flosason's original compositions. It is a cross between jazz and blues with a personal and Nordic twist.
