The Berliner Philharmoniker and chief conductor Kirill Petrenko will be showing this in the 2026 New Year's Eve Concert: Sergei Prokofiev parodies Haydn and Mozart's music in his sparkling symphony classique. Viennese classical music was also on Dmitri Shostakovich's ear when he wrote his witty double concerto for piano and trumpet. Pianist Alexander Malofeev, born in 2001, makes his debut here alongside solo trumpeter David Guerrier. Kirill Petrenko also sparks fireworks of jokes with Till Eulenspiegel's funny pranks by Richard Strauss. Experience this lively turn of the year live in the cinema!
