Based on her new book 'Sindets pestiekammer', Kamilla Rønnestad gives us an insight into this promising field, which is called nutritional psychiatry. With grounding in both evidence and practical reality, we see how the food we eat can damage or strengthen our mental health. This is essential, but under-communicated knowledge — especially in a time when distrust and mental disorders are on the rise.
Kamilla Rønnestad (b. 1990) graduated in nutrition and health with a special interest in the relationship between food and mental health. She has a background as a food and social writer and has been behind several projects exploring the potential of food against depression. She is also the co-author of 'Food and Maternal Care' (2023).
