Attunement I
Concepción Huerta and hexorcismos open Sintonia's new home in Wedding: the dome hall in silent green. Both are already firmly established on the international experimental music scene and are turning the space into an experience of unanimity.
With field recordings, analog synthesis and tape machines, Concepción Huerta creates extended layers of media archaeology in which resonance is both physical and political.
hexorcismos works with neural systems to process sounds and relate them to each other. The resulting works move in a space — between a disembodied voice that emerges from the spectral worlds of the algorithm and a rhythmic-physical experience that at the same time carries the memory of its own creation.
Concepción Huerta is a Mexican sound artist, electroacoustic composer, and artistic researcher. In her practice, she explores sound as an inscription technology that is able to record, preserve, and transform memory. In her work with electroacoustic composition, analog synthesis, magnetic tape, field recordings, and installation, she explores the relationships between vibration, materiality, geology, and hearing.
hexorcismos is a sound artist and technologist born in Tijuana and living in Berlin. In his work, he critically examines artificial intelligence, media archaeology, and neural synthesis. He is the developer of SEMILLA.AI and MUTUALISMX. His work has been presented at Ars Electronica, NeurIPS, CTM, MUTEK, and KTH, among others. He currently teaches at the Tangible Music Club in Linz, Austria.
