Attunement II
With precision and at the same time great sensitivity, Nnux and Cinna Peyghamy work their instruments, opening up the sonic landscapes of electronic extensions.
Nnux transforms her voice into sound material. It disassembles, multiplies and reassembles them over and over again. The result is a changeable being that opens up the world anew with every new shape. Cinna Peyghamy works with DIY synthesizers and orchestras and uses traditional Persian percussion instruments to create a world of rhythmic experiments whose resonance extends beyond acoustic spaces.
Nnux is an artist, composer, and performer born in Mexico City. Her latest album Metamorfosis combines edited voices, powerful beats and complex synthesizer sounds. At the center is the idea of transformation: a changeable being that sees and understands the world in a different way with every new form.
Cinna Peyghamy is a French-Iranian percussionist, composer and producer living in Paris. Rooted in the Parisian experimental and noise scene, his live practice has increasingly moved towards completely free improvisation with sound equipment he developed himself. Based on his scientific and programming background, Peyghamy designs and builds unique instruments — from DIY synthesizers and orchestras to motor-driven mechanical structures. These self-developed instruments serve him as tools for his compositions, performances and sound installations.
