Sisters of Comedy

In times when we have to discuss women's rights and freedom of opinion again, when the wind from the right is blowing sharper worldwide and a very conservative image of women is also being propagated in Western cultures, female comedians go on the offensive!

“Sisters of Comedy - Nachgelacht” is a benefit event that has been taking place once a year at the same time on many different stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, each with other artists from the German-language comedy, cabaret and slam scene.

Each show donates part of the entrance fees to local women's aid projects and at the same time sets an example against sexism and for equality.

This year, it is the “Grandmas Gegen Rechts” who also have a local group in Tempelhof-Schöneberg.

Grandmas Against the Right have been making an important contribution to political education for years and are often exposed to hostility through their work. Reason enough to honor these great women on and with this evening and to support their work with a donation.

The artists:

The author, poetry slammer, comedienne and soprano Fee Brembeck is at home in several artistic fields. This summer she appeared on stage for the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as a soprano, as a cabaret artist she was awarded the German Cabaret Prize in 2025 and is currently touring cabaret and comedy stages with her program “How to Frau”. She is a welcome guest on all relevant television formats, most recently in the “WDR Midnight Peaks” and “Olafs Club.” Her book “Now shut up, man! “was published by Goldmann Verlag in 2021. The writer, reading stage author and columnist Kirsten Fuchs has been known to many Berliners for a long time. She writes as a columnist for “das Magazin” and is a member of the reading stages “Fuchs und Söhne”, “D. E. O. — Des Eselsohr” and “Pod Show”. Her texts and books have received several awards, including the Kassel Sponsorship Prize for Comic Literature and the German Youth Literature Prize for her novel “Mädchenmeute”. She is a champion in serious nonsense. Marc-Uwe Kling says about her: “Her lyrics are extremely funny. And clever. Sara Karas is currently touring the stages with her first solo program “No Wonder no Woman”. Wonder Woman is the strongest woman in the world. But let's be honest: It's not that special either. She comes from an island full of women — it's clear that she's naively optimistic. Then she ends up in the real world and has to deal with men, babies and shopping malls.

Comedienne and cabaret artist Mia Pittroff, born in Franconia and Berliner by choice, will be leading the evening this year. “Clever comedy doesn't have to be loud,” the Schwarzwälder Bote recently wrote about it, the Bonner Generalanzeiger writes: “It bites with a smile.” Mia Pittroff is a member of the Berlin reading stage “LSD — Liebe statt Drugen” and tours cabaret stages throughout Germany and Switzerland with her program “Ich geh schon mal hinten los”. https://www.kultus-agentur.de/miapittroff.html
