Referring to the well-known and curious-igniting story of the six wives of the King of England, Henry VIII, creators Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss pay homage to all the women who have built their position over the centuries, fighting exclusion, objectification and rejection. The director, Katarzyna Chlebny, bringing this musical show to her native land, wishes to draw attention to how unity and mutual support strengthen the power of women.

About the event

Musical SIX is a colorful, humorous, but also bold story about the power of women and their place in history, winning triumphs all over the world, from the West End to Broadway!

“Divorced.Executed.Death.Divorced.Executed.Widow after...” Six strong women, embodying themselves as contemporary pop culture icons, call to us from the stage and recall STORIES (or as they themselves wish to call them HerStorie) from distant times, which unfortunately often remain relevant...

Inspired by the greatest artists of pop music such as Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Avril Lavigne, Adele, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears and Alicia Keys, the stage queens take us on an extremely electrifying journey full of emotion, singing, dancing and a holiday of colors. Like the stars of the stage, they compete for their position, the title of leader to be given to the only one, the one who has suffered the most...

With the strength of their characters, the power of empathy, awareness and experiences, they discover before us a world in which we can build ourselves thanks to support and unity, despite the injustices that have existed so far. The strength is in us, and we learn solidarity by walking together on the new, trodden path of our rights, together, hand in hand. Sometimes with wit, sometimes with the regret of memories, sometimes with a clenched fist, because there is still much to be done...

And with this message, like a storm, modern Queens walk through the world, giving strength and courage to all women, and men... they invite them to a joint, partner, dance step, to a new, better tomorrow.

Premiere: April 26, 27, 2025.

Catherine of Aragon, Anna Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Kleve, Catherine Howard, Catherine Parr. You probably know each of them as one of the six wives of Henry VIII. It's time to get to know them as the ex-wives of the King of England, who take control of their own HerStoria, because more than a broken heart, a severed head hurts...

The musical SIX, by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, tells the story of the six wives of Henry VIII vying for the title of the one who suffered the most from her marriage to the king. When they discover that comparisons are pointless, because the only thing they have in common is a common husband, they will find their uniqueness, which is the key to reconciliation and true freedom.

SIX is an energetic and witty musical that innovatively combines history with modern storytelling to create a unique, dynamic show in the form of a pop concert. Although the Queens have their own historical prototypes, each of them has a unique stage identity, modeled on the distinctive style and personality of contemporary music stars such as Beyoncé, Avril Lavigne, Adele, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Alicia Keys. Instead of remaining in the shadows, they reject the role of victims and become icons, celebrating their independence and cooperation in order to shine again in full splendor. The show impresses with strong, feminine vocals, modern choreography and a wealth of scenery and costumes, for which it is really worth losing your head!

SIX is a story about the strength and solidarity of women in the common struggle for their place in history.

SIX is an experience that stimulates reflection on the role of women in history and in the modern world.

SIX is a guarantee that we can meet every challenge together.
