A big hit of London's West End and New York's Broadway. A musical about Catherine of Aragon, Anna Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Kleve, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr, or the six wives of King Henry VIII of England Tudor. The creators presented them as divas of pop music, and the performance takes the form of a concert. The female partners of the ruler of England sing their stories and “compete” for the title of the one that the marriage with Henry experienced the most. “SIX” is a textbook example of turning “history” into “herstory”, that is, giving a voice to women whose perspective was hitherto unnoticed.
