29 October (Thursday) at 5.30 pm we invite you to the Library of Knowledge for a meeting with Olga Dębicka as part of the series: Scandinavian winds. This time the journalist will take us to Norway.Norway is a difficult to describe meeting of Europe with the power of nature. Ragged fjords, mountain peaks and the cold north are located in a country inhabited by barely 5 and a half million people, paying incredibly high taxes but not knowing poverty. Henry Ibsen said, “If you want to know the Norwegians, you have to know Norway first. The harsh nature forced resourcefulness, but also aroused respect. Norwegians are still very attached to nature, appreciate it and are able to adapt to it. Therefore, they live in one of the most beautiful countries of the world. What will the lecture with a rich slide show be about? About the Northern Cape Nordkapp, about the fjords - the most “Norwegian” of Norwegian attractions, about Bergen, about the Troldhaugen estate (Troll Hill) of composer Edvard Grieg, about Jostedalsbreen - the largest glacier in Europe
