Bird Feather Shop — concert

Sklep z Ptasimi Piórami played for the first time on March 8, 1978 in Szczecin and is still the cultural showcase of its city. Its co-creator and leader is composer, singer, educator — Ryszard Leoszewski. The store has won many times at song festivals and is still vividly received by both the audience of its generation and the new, sometimes very young. Each concert of the band is a unique encounter with dynamic music and wise lyrics. Unusual events for the musicians of the Shop were joint performances with such artists as: the pianist of the YES group — Rick Wakeman, or the outstanding jazz singer — Bobby McFerrin.
Sklep z Ptasimi Piórami has released 9 original CDs, realized many television programs and radio broadcasts. He has toured all over Poland, as well as in Austria, Sweden, Germany and France. In 2018, on the occasion of the 40th Jubilee, the band recorded a CD album entitled “That's how I see you” with songs to poems by the outstanding poet Leszek Aleksander Moczulski. One of them, with the guest participation of Joanna Kołaczkowska, was included in the Top Three List and kept on it for 10 weeks.
The concert will feature compositions by Ryszard Leoszewski to texts by Michał Zabłocki, Leszek Aleksander Moczulski, Osip Mandelsztam and authors from Szczecin — Barbara Stenka or Marek Maja. There will be premiere songs and those well known in the Land of Gentleness: “Stampelek”, “Journey around yourself”, “What do you dream about”, “I know how it is not”. It will be, lyrically, satirically and, as usual, energetically thanks to the entire “staff” of the Bird Feather Shop.
Recently, a book publication entitled “O Shop with Bird Feathers” was published. Briefly... you can't” with the included double CD of the band. A book with a CD will be available during the event.
