About WorkshopNow writing changes us whether we want to or not. Language carries all kinds of things with it and makes our experiences, fantasies, thoughts and feelings new. In this workshop we will explore what transformations can do to our writing. Based on short text examples from both new and old literature as well as concrete writing exercises (Tarot cards, among others), participants are invited to write around the theme in their own way.
We read the texts to each other. To write is to open up, which is why it is important to have a space characterized by security, lightness and honesty. Everyone is welcome regardless of previous writing experience.
About the educator Ingrid Nymo made her debut in 2021 with the novel Kloster, which is about a young woman who, after a sudden death in the family, travels down to a Romanian nunnery. The book was shortlisted for the Munch Christensen Debutant Prize. In 2024, her second novel The Red Rooster was published, which follows a young domestic helper in Thy and her search for fellowship and love. The latter was nominated for the DR Novel Prize. Her first collection of poems, Humbaba's Head, was published in June 2026.
In addition to her work as a writer, Ingrid Nymo has for several years taught creative writing at, among others, Testrup Højskole, Bild-Medieskolen and the School of Writing Arts in Aarhus.
