Write Living Lines, with Author Marie Louise Cornelius

About the event

About WorkshopDo you want to write dialogue that captures and engages? In this workshop you will be given concrete tools to avoid fillings and create lines with bites. We work with the power of subtitles and methods from the theatre to make your scenes come alive and relevant — whether you are writing for theatre, film or books.

Everyone can participate — and you get the opportunity to try your hand at exercises and readings, so you feel how words really work on stage.

Using methods from the process of drama and theatre, we sharpen the dialogue and the individual scene - so that it becomes exciting and relevant.

About the TeacherMarie Louise Cornelius is an author, theater and film director, actress, and audiobook loader. She has written the feelgood series Heart Blink, as well as Between Light and Shadow and Behind the Facade of Glass — which is a historical genealogy novel series focusing on women's liberation, film history, and the technological and cultural developments of the 20th century. Marie Louise Cornelius is a trained playwright, author, theatre and film director, actress and audiobook loader. She has also taught both adults and children how to write.

Practical InfoWriting Workshop is aimed at adults.Participation is free, but requires registration at Billetto. The writing workshop takes place at Christianshavn Library. We do not provide computers, so bring your own and/or paper and pen. There is very limited desk space, so you probably have to sit with the computer/paper in your lap.We offer a writing pad that you can have as a base for your block/paper.Find your wayFrom the entrance you can find Othello as follows: Follow the wall on your right hand into the library room itself, and turn around the first corner. Othello is located as a side room to the library room, but can easily be seen if you continue to follow the right wall.

Writing WorkshopsEvery month, Copenhagen Libraries invites you to writing workshops all over the city. The themes and trainers vary. Our writing workshops are not workshops, but stand-alone workshops of two hours in which lecturers give presentations and give participants writing exercises.
