Release Date: 8.11.2008
Modest milkman Tewje is in serious trouble when each of his three daughters wants to abandon the Jewish tradition of being a matchmaker in favor of true love. If this were not enough, the political situation in Anatevka, a village belonging to tsarist Russia, is becoming increasingly tense... The main character (in whose role is invariably Bernard Szyc), however, tries to go through life with serenity and enjoy everyday pleasures. A Broadway masterpiece, whose long-term presence in Gdynia is the result of the efforts and directorial artistry of Jerzy Gruza. A musical steeped in humor, lively Jewish music and tradition.
(...) dynamism, vibrancy, refined choral and dance parts are absolutely flawless (...) a musical doomed to success (Gazeta Wyborcza)
