About the event

The sixth and at the same time the penultimate meeting of the project “Where sounds unite generations” is ahead. This time we will invite the audience on a musical journey into the past, during which the main role will be played by ancient instruments.

📅 On November 4 (Wednesday) at 11.00 in the Municipal Library in Lubon there will be a concert “Traces of Time”, during which a quartet will perform presenting the sound of four instruments: double bass, theorbo, harpsichord and cello.

Some of them we know perfectly well, others we meet much less often today. What exactly is a theorem? How does the harpsichord sound and how is it different from the modern piano? What role did these instruments play in the music of past eras? The answers to these questions will be revealed during the concert, which will be an opportunity to discover the richness of old sounds.

The meeting will be led by Bogna Nowowiejska-Bielawska, who, as always, will enrich the musical presentations with curiosities and stories about the history of instruments.

We invite all music lovers — children, youth, adults and seniors to participate. After all, it is the joint discovery of music by different generations that is the idea of our cycle! ❤️
