Slam Od Nowa — September edition of the poetry slam

Toruń Poetry Slam is already 18 years old! The October AckiS Small Stage Reunion will kick off the next season of events in which poetry goes beyond the pages of books and becomes a lively dialogue between the performers and the audience.

For eighteen years, slam has become an important part of the cultural life of Toruń, creating a space for creative freedom, literary exploration and meetings of different generations of authors. It is a place open to both debutants and those who have been presenting their own work in front of the public for years.

Poetic slam combines literature with performance. Each person performing has three minutes to present the author's texts. No instruments, costumes or props. The most important thing remains the word, the voice and the way it is conveyed.

The course of the competition is decided by the audience, which acts as a jury. It is her voices that determine the people who advance to the next rounds and the winners of the evening.

Prizes await the best:

PLN 100 from Bar Od Nowa and Cups of Abundance from the Public

Surprise award from the host

Hosted by: Justyna Kłosińska

Registration: on site, from 17:30, until the start of the event or the seats are exhausted.

In the new season, the Slamer Passport continues to function, allowing you to qualify for the Polish Poetic Slam Championships.

We invite everyone who writes, reads, listens and wants to participate in poetry meetings. You don't have to have stage experience to speak.

Slam Again — eighteen years of a living word that still finds new voices.
