Wojciech Hieronymus Borkowski POETIC SLAM

IOC Olsztyn invites you to the Wojciech Hieronymus Borkowski Poetry Slam! The birthday of the city will once again be graced with literary skirmishes in which words, the way they are given and the reaction of the audience count. We start on Sunday, October 25th at 18:00 in the hall under the Amphitheater.

A poetry slam is a tournament in which the stage belongs to the poets and the verdict - to the audience. No jury and no lengthy deliberations. There are author's texts, a microphone, a specific performance time and listeners, who live decide the results of the next duels.

This year's edition will be special. The Olsztyn Poetry Slam was dedicated to Wojciech Hieronimus Borkowski — an Olsztyn poet and slamer who died that year — and will bear his name from now on. In this way we want to preserve the memory of Him precisely where the word is alive, spoken aloud and meets directly with the audience.

We invite both experienced slamers and those who just want to check their texts in front of the audience to participate in the tournament. We accept applications at the following address: zapisynaslam@gmail.com.

And after the tournament emotions, the words will not subside. We will move to the Azyl pub at 8 Rodziewiczówny Street, where Wojtek's poems will also be played during the after-party with a free microphone.
