SILESIAN MICROCOSM - MEETING WITH KAMIL IWANICKI

It is also a fascinating mosaic of places, people, local traditions and stories that allow a better understanding of its unique identity. It is precisely these less obvious faces of the region that Kamil Iwanicki will bring us closer — author, passionate about Silesia and attentive observer of its cultural landscape.

During the meeting we will talk about Silesia seen from the perspective of its local history, architecture and community. It is an opportunity to look at the places we pass every day, discover their meaning and learn the stories hidden in a seemingly ordinary space.

Kamil Iwanicki is engaged in popularizing knowledge about Upper Silesia, its heritage and transformations. In his activities, he shows that the history of the region is present not only in monuments and archives, but also in the daily life of the inhabitants, the memory of local communities and a space that is constantly changing.

The meeting will be an invitation to look at Silesia from a new perspective — with curiosity, attentiveness and awareness that behind every place there is a history worth knowing.
