About the event

SLAYYYTER takes VEGA with heavy beats and inciting rap

From her groundbreaking 2019 self-titled mixtape to 2021's debut album Troubled Paradise and 2023's STARFUCKER, SLAYYYTER has proven herself to be one of the great shape-shifters of our time, taking pop of the past, present and future and twisting it to her own will.

Early successes -- “Daddy AF” went from viral hit that made SLAYYYTER known online to accompanying a pivotal scene in the Oscar winner for Best Film Anora -- led to praise from publications such as Billboard, Paper, Variety, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and others, while securing SLAYYYTER warm-up jobs for role models like Tove Lo and Kesha.

But even with all this, SLAYYYTER decided something didn't quite feel right. She chose to become who she had been all along: WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA. Slayyyter's third album is her most authentic expression to date and at the same time presents her most fully realized creative direction. Returning to her upbringing in St. Louis, she decided to make “iPod music” -- a free hodgepodge of wild punk, weathered pop and raunchy rap -- and conjured up “Midwest-core tweaker bar steering wheel” characters from her youth.

The early singles “BEAT UP CHANEL$,” “CANNIBALISM!” and “CRANK” gradually built up hype around the project through 2025, with fans eagerly embracing the raw and confident SLAYYYTER spawned from the ashes of her former selves. WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA is both a revelation and a development -- an annihilation of the SLAYYYTER we thought we knew, then the “real”

SLAYYYTER can be born. At home, the audience at Roskilde Festival in 2022 could get acquainted with SLAYYYTER. Now she finally returns to Denmark when she presents her new tracks, garnished with the best bangers from the back catalogue, on October 22nd at Store VEGA.

Slayyyter has partnered with PLUS1 so that $10 from every ticket sold goes to local organizations that work to support the health, well-being and empowerment of LGBTQI+ communities.
