Małgorzata Bogajewska returns to the National Theatre, and with her Tennessee Williams, one of the most important figures of American dramaturgy. The Sweet Bird of Youth is not only a story about people blinded by the pursuit of success and position, but also about facing the taste of failure. When you have to face the demons of the past to fight for your future, all moral principles come to the fore. Isn't it irrelevant that this is also a story about the glories and shadows of acting life?
Especially for us, Jacek Lęstun updated his translation, which forms the basis of the adaptation.
