December is the time of greenery, candlelight and decorations that bring a festive mood to the house. During the next meeting from the Slow Art — Flowers in Process series, we will create original Christmas compositions, combining plant materials, natural accessories and festive accents. We will look at how color, texture and proportions affect the nature of the decoration. The greenery of twigs, the structure of cones and subtle ornaments will become the starting point for creating your own reed for a festive table or for decorating a home interior.
This is a workshop for adults and seniors who want to prepare something with their own hands, learn the basics of floristry and find a moment of creative rest before the holidays.
It is not necessary to have floristic experience. We will show the individual stages of the work step by step, leaving space for individual ideas and the choice of color scheme.
What are we gonna do?
1. The base of the festive composition We will learn the ways of preparing the base of the reed and fixing the floristic elements. We will show you how to arrange greenery to give shape to the decoration and maintain the right proportions.
2. Natural materials and festive accents We will look at the possibilities of combining twigs, cones, dried accessories, candles and ornaments. We will choose colors and textures, looking for a balance between the plant form and the decorative details.
3. Own Christmas composition Each participant will make a wreath according to their own idea — from a subdued, natural decoration to a composition full of festive colors. He will take the finished work home with him.
Why is it worth it?
Self-prepared decoration gives the holiday a personal touch. The workshop will be an opportunity to learn the simple rules of composing, try on floristic materials and create a work that will accompany home gatherings.
We will meet in the spirit of Slow Art — with time to learn about materials, make creative decisions and enjoy the work of your own hands. In the pre-holiday calendar, we will leave room for calm creation and joint conversation.
