They chirp, chirp, coo, clatter, hum... Polish birds speak different languages, and they are most often heard at... group therapy with a psychologist. It is here that in the play Dictionary of Polish Birds, various stories, biographies and points of view are mixed, rhetoric is mixed with pathos, anglicisms with macaronisms, life with television, and everything is an element of a sophisticated game with native Polish. This wild phonetic element, tamed by the archconductor of Polish satire Krzysztof Materna, who adapted the text of Jakub Morawski, is a constant delight not only with the sound, but also with the dexterity with which the actors — participants in therapy — perform this verbal juggling. The Dictionary of Polish Birds is the best therapy for our gray reality.
