Around Literature 2026: Eating is one of the easiest ways to learn about other cultures. Bartek Kieżun will take us on a journey in which the next places are marked by flavors, smells, local products and stories written in the kitchen. We will talk about how to travel through food and whether it is possible to get to know the place without trying what goes on its tables.

Bartek Kieżun — journalist, traveler and photographer. Author of fifteen bestselling food guides, among others: Italia to eat and Naples. The greedy eye and the Italians do it more willingly. Winner of the Magellan Prize and the Golden Pen. Multiple winner of the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Award granted by an international jury. Athens to Eat has been honored in this competition as one of the best books of the last 30 years. Winner of the Prix de la Littérature Gastronomique, which was awarded the Wawel Feast. He has published in “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Wysokie Obcasach”, “Kukbuku”, “Twoj Styl”, “Newsweek” and “Tygodnik Powszechny”. Columnist for the weekly “Polityka”. He lectured on the culinary culture of the Mediterranean basin at the Monument Interpretation Centre in Warsaw, and at Collegium Civitas — knowledge of culinary tourism and wine tourism. For many years he has been cooperating with cultural institutions and organizing culinary workshops. He lives in Poland and Italy.
