Smelling Gossip

A performative campfire installation for people aged 10 and over

Flickering light, dancing smoke. We light an artificial bonfire and cook a rumor soup: sentence by sentence, scent by scent, a story becomes a verdict. A game about hearsay, ostracism and the power of community.

Sebastian Mauksch & team develop theatre as an experience and experience space for children and young people. In an interplay of acting, text, visual arts, sound and technology, they explore social issues with the audience and invite them to try out their own attitudes and actions.
