Dreams about trains - Kino Konesera

Based on the popular book by Denis Johnson, the film is a moving portrait of Robert Grainier (Golden Globe nominee Joel Edgerton), whose life is set in a time of unprecedented transformations in America at the beginning of the 20th century. Orphaned at a young age, Robert grows up among the majestic forests of the Pacific Northwest, where he builds America's railroad empire, working side by side with men as impressive as the landscapes in which they live. After a tender courtship, he marries Gladys (Oscar nominee Felicity Jones) and they start a house together, though his job often separates him from his wife and their young daughter. When fate unexpectedly changes his life, Robert rediscovers the beauty, brutality and deeper meaning of the forests and trees he has cut down over the years. A tribute to a forgotten lifestyle, an ever-changing world and the extraordinary possibilities inherent in even the simplest of existences, the film captures the spirit of a time and place long gone, and the people who built a bridge to a future they could only dream of. Directed by Oscar-nominated Clint Bentley, the screenplay was co-written by Bentley and Oscar-nominated Greg Kwedar, the duo behind “Sing Sing.” The film also stars Oscar nominees William H. Macy and Kerry Condon.
