Soft Power of the Young Citizen — Artistic and educational event

As part of the project, students participate in activities that help them better understand contemporary media messages and mechanisms of influence. They learn to recognize disinformation and fake news, look at ways to build emotions through image, language and form of communication, and learn about the opportunities and threats of generative artificial intelligence and synthetic content. An important part of the project is also a conversation about the authenticity of information, communication on the network and responsibility for the content created and shared.

One of the elements of the project is also the artistic and educational component, realized in cooperation with the Contemporary Theater in Szczecin. Students will take part in the performance “POV: you are 12 years old and...” directed by Agata Biziuk, which addresses the topic of peer violence. The show is implemented in the formula of “theater in the classroom” and uses headphones for silent disco, thanks to which the audience is drawn into an experience of a very direct nature.

The performance will become the starting point for contextual workshops and educational conversation. During them, the topics of communication, exclusion, responsibility for the word, peer relations and the influence of the mode of transmission on the recipient will be discussed. These activities are intended to encourage young people to reflect on their own attitudes, ways of responding to violence and building safe relationships.

The event is held for previously organized school groups.

The project is co-financed from the funds of the state budget, granted by the Minister of Education as part of the program “Compass of the Young Citizen”.
