Venue: Kraków, Klub Kwadrat
Sonata Arctica has remained one of the most important Finnish metal bands for nearly three decades. The debut “Ecliptica” is still considered a milestone in European power metal, and subsequent albums such as “Silence”, “Winterheart's Guild” and “Reckoning Night” have cemented the group's position with catchy melodies based on lightning-fast guitar parts and distinctive keyboards. At the beginning of the year, the single “Freedom Concept” was released, which heralds the band's new album. The Krakow concert will be a unique opportunity to see the formation for the first time on a full-scale tour with an orchestra, which will give a new dimension to such songs as “FullMoon”, “Tallulah” or “Don't Say a Word”.
Rage, on the other hand, are true veterans of German metal, who for forty years of activity have gone from speed to power metal, with time increasingly daring to reach for symphonic elements. Led by Peavy Wagner, the group has 27 studio albums to their credit, and the releases “XIII” and “Lingua Mortis” have permanently entered the history of the genre as one of the first such successful mergers of metal with a symphony orchestra. In Krakow, the band will perform with Lingua Mortis Orchestra, celebrating the 30th anniversary of both of these iconic albums and presenting a set list highlighting their pioneering role on the symphonic metal scene.
