MARC ALMOND: SOFT CELL VOICE. FOUR DECADES OF SOLO. Vocalist. Songwriter. One of the most original voices of his generation. Tainted Love. Say Hello Wave Goodbye. Bedsitter. Torch. As the voice of the duo Soft Cell, he sings in the song that has been on the US Billboard Top 100 for the longest time in history — and won his first Brit Award. 38 million records sold. He is an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for outstanding service to the arts and culture. He has been going his own way since 1984. Marc and the Mambas. Song. Jacques Brel — the artist's heirs recognized Marc as the best living interpreter of his songs. Duet with Gene Pitney: Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart, number one in the UK for five weeks. In 2004, he learned to sing again after a motorcycle accident and two weeks in a coma. Today she sings better than ever. He was on Soundedit twice in 2013 and 2021. Although Dave Ball left in October 2025, they still managed to record Soft Cell's last album “Danceteria”, which is released right now. Marc Almond returns to Soundedit and thus closes the story that began back in 1979. THE WOLFGANG PRESS: THEY CHOOSE THE BOAT FOR THE SECOND TIME. The voice. Guitar. Keys. A Girl Like You. King of Soul. Cut the Tree. Kansas. They formed from Rema-Rema and Mass — two bands that defined the dark art-punk of the late 70s and early 80s. Under the banner 4AD, they evolved over a decade from claustrophobic post-punk to funky avant-garde dance of the 90s. Karl O'Connor, founder of Downwards Records, points to “Bird Wood Cage” as one of his favorite albums. After almost 30 years of absence, they returned in 2024 with the album “A 2nd Shape”. For its premiere they chose Soundedit in Łódź and played one of the most important concerts of that year. Today, the core is Michael Allen and Andrew Gray, who are joined by Stephen Gray. Family. Old DNA. New music. Two years ago, as the first in the world, they presented the album “A 2nd Shape” to the Łódź audience. They don't cut off coupons and come back with the release of their next album. Not London, not Berlin, but Łódź and the Wytwórnia club. For The Wolfgang Press, it's not a stop — it's an obvious choice. The Wolfgang Press have once again chosen Soundedit for the premiere of their new album. WOLFGANG FLÜR: THE MAN WHO WAS A KRAFTWERK ROBOT DRUMMER. Rhythm Architect. One of the four musicians who have created the sound on which all the electronics of the last fifty years are based. Autobahn. Trans-Europe Express. The Model. The Robots. Computer World. As a member of Kraftwerk from 1973 to 1987, he recorded albums defining techno, synth-pop and all dance music. In 2021, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has been creating his own show for years. His album Times is a meeting that seemed impossible: Boris Blank (Yello), Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), Juan Atkins — the godfather of Detroit techno — and Emil Schult. The autobiography “I Was a Robot” sold tens of thousands of copies. Fifty years after the release of the Autobahn — Flur pull behind the wheel.
