Tyniec - In the Shadow of the Monastery

For a thousand years, the Benedictine monastery and the monastic settlement have coexisted together. The existence and activity of one depended on the other. The history of the abbey and the people living in it
We can get to know the Benedictines by visiting the monastery. The history of Tyniec, intertwined with the history of the abbey, is no longer so obvious.

During the walk around the Tyniecki Monastery we will take a closer look at the origins of Tyniec as a monastery settlement. Wandering through the dark alleys of modern buildings, we will look for traces of centuries ago. We will find out what the former inhabitants of Tyniec could do and learn about forgotten traditions.

We will try to bring Tyniec from 1000 years ago back to life!

The tour will take place at the time of day when it is already dark. please bring flashlights.Parents who want to bring children under 10 years old do not have to pay for their entrance, only for their own.

Creator and co-creator of many projects, such as: writing a family guide for the Hutten-Czapski Museum, programs of family workshops in the form of the series “Our Family Wawel”, coordination of the Krakow Family Festival, Multicultural Winter Holidays at Wawel, creating and conducting thematic tours around the Tyniec Abbey, creating lesson scenarios in the form of games and co-creation of the script and coordination of the immersive performance “Non-Fairy Tale of the Wawel Dragon”.
