It so happens that the Czapski family, to whom the National Museum in Krakow and Krakow owe a lot, has not been associated with this city for a long time. Although Kraków may not have been the home of the Czapski family, it was here, in the 1890s, Count Emeryk Hutten-Czapski found a safe place for his rich collection of Polish and Polish-related numismatics. Emeryk's grandson — Józef Czapski — although he spent a significant part of his life, strongly marked by history, abroad, the Pavilion of his name even transports us to the emigrant life of an artist, writer and publicist, while recalling the Krakow themes from his biography. We will start the walk with a visit to the jubilee exhibition, which was created on the 130th anniversary of the artist's birth and is an opportunity to look at the multiple facets of Józef Czapski's art. During the walk, these lesser-known places related to the Czapski family will also be waiting for us.
