ul. Toruńska 1, Gdańsk

Daniel Chodowiecki traveled to Berlin in his youth to develop his artistic career. He returned to his hometown after a 30-year absence. During his travels and stays in Gdańsk, he created a diary in which he illustrated and described almost every day. Today it is an invaluable resource to learn about the history of the city and the daily histories of its inhabitants. During the walk we will follow in the footsteps of Daniel Chodowiecki, discovering Gdańsk from 1773, and our guide will be Michał Ślubowski — historian, author of the Gedanarium blog and the books “Witches, Mieszczki, Pokutnice. Gdańsk herstoric sketches” and “Proszarki, celebrities and saints. Gdańsk herstorie”.
