About the event

On Saturday, October 17 at 6 p.m., we invite you to the performance of the Nie Now Theatre “Wyklęci. The Crown and Betrayal” according to the script and directed by Tomasz Antoni Żak.

The performance is an artistic reflection on the fate of the cursed soldiers, raising such themes as fidelity to values, patriotism, freedom and responsibility for historical memory.

It uses the plot of the communist operation “Avalanche” of September 1946, in which officers of the Security Office and the NKVD murdered soldiers of the National Armed Forces from the group of Capt. Henryk Flamego, known as “Bartek”. One of the inspirations for the creation of the play was the figure of a young girl from the Flamego group, Stanisława Golec, known as “Gusta”, who was among the victims of the crime. This year in September we celebrate the 80th anniversary of these tragic events.

The director and screenwriter of the play is Tomasz Antoni Żak, and the performance was prepared by Teatr Nie Now from Zakliczyn. TNT was formed in Tarnów in the autumn of 1980. It has, among others, several dozen stage premieres, two musical performances and four street performances.

In 2000, the theater was the first in Poland to create a theatrical performance about the cursed soldiers “At the Stage” - a story about people who fought with weapons in hand against the communist enslavement of the country. The band returned to this theme after 12 years with the play “Cursed”. In 2011, the “Ballad of Volyn” was written, telling about the Volyn massacre.

The play “Cursed. The Crown and Betrayal” will take place on 17 October at the AK Museum at 12 Wita Stwosza Street at 6 p.m. Tickets cost PLN 20. Reservation by phone: 12 41 00 796 or by email:.
