The show “Imagination” is an expedition to a world full of possibilities...

What happens when the WORDS we know are cut and the IMAGES are broken into tiny pieces? What if it turns out that one of the most important things in the world... just disappears? Two extraordinary heroes will try to answer these and many other questions: WORD - full of energy and ideas, and IMAGE - a master of visual art. With their creativity, humor and determination, they will show how great power lies in the imagination...

The show “Imagination” encourages creative thinking, showing how many possibilities lie in simple ideas and unrestrained fun. It teaches that boundaries exist only in our heads, and that any idea — even the craziest — can become the beginning of something beautiful and unique.

The show is directed by Julia Szmyt, an artist known for creating magical and innovative shows for children. As an actress and director, she carries out artistic projects in the field of theater, happening and film aimed at adults and children. The author of the scenography is Ewa Gdowok, an acclaimed theater and film set designer, winner of the World Fest-Houston award for the play “Holzwege”. He has over a hundred productions, including dramatic performances as well as musical and film performances.

The composer of the music for the performance is a mooryc (Maurycy Zimmermann) - the author of music for films, commercials, theatrical performances. His unique approach to sound, combining organic sounds with electronics, has earned him collaborations with labels such as Freude am Tanzen and Sonar Kollektiv.

The aim of the TEATR POLSKA programme is to facilitate access to the most outstanding Polish theatre performances for the residents of towns where there is a lack of public theatre. Its task is to popularize theatrical art and eliminate economic barriers to access the theater, especially in places far from the main cultural centers.

Qualification of performances submitted to the program is carried out in two stages. The first stage consists in obtaining a recommendation from the Artistic Steering Team, and the second stage is the evaluation of the touring projects of the selected performances by the Financial Steering Team.

Presentations of performances within TEATR POLSKA will take place in the period from May 18 to October 28, 2026.

The POLISH THEATRE programme has been organised since 2009 by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute.
