Performance: “Optimists”

Optimists is a crazy comedy about a family that goes on vacation together for the first time in Egypt. Since the stay is all inclusive, you have to “use” everything to the limit — drink, eat, dance and swim! Nothing can be wasted, after all, everything has been paid for!

For the past year, I've been traveling around different resorts to see what's really going on during all inclusive vacations. The stories I observed there, I turned up a lot to make this evening a great entertainment for the audience. I am convinced that the audience will have a great time watching a comedy that has not yet been in the theater — says Krzysztof Czeczot, director of the play.

The action takes place in Egypt, in one of the resorts. Ewa (Karolina Gorczyca) invites her parents, Kasia and Janka (Hanna Śleszyńska and Piotr Cyrwus), to an exclusive holiday to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. However, it quickly turns out that reality deviates from her plans: mom complains, dad - despite the heat - does not part with jeans, and her husband Adaś (Marcin Korcz) uses free drinks without thinking. Eve herself tries to survive until the end of the trip.

The whole is accompanied by a meticulously kept “table”, in which it is checked whether everything has been properly “eaten, drunk, floated, danced and run out”.
