Venue: DT Stage - Hope Foster is a successful real estate agent. Your business is to provide people with a home and a place of security. Years ago, in a careless moment, she lost her child playing. Since then, her life has been overshadowed by the tragic circumstances of fate and the question of guilt.
During a tour of the apartment, she meets the young couple Margaret and Will. She makes friends with Margaret, who soon sets a different course for her future life. Shortly after, she meets Will's father, a discarded Latin teacher, in whom Hope finds support and comfort. His life is also marked by loss. There are also security consultant Jerry and neighbor Donna. All of them stranded and influenced by life, who come together to form a kind of community of fate in an unoccupied period of time.
Is there hope in times of major life crises? Is there life after a shipwreck? And can comfort heal wounds?
Noah Haidle, award-winning playwright and screenwriter whose works have been performed on Broadway, in the USA and worldwide, has created a large play about what is called life: about friendship, late love, and deep pain.
After The Homemaker and Birthday Candles, director Anna Bergmann is staging a world premiere by Noah Haidle for the third time.
