Let's meet at NFM — Prof. Hanna Suchocka

Do you love music and go to concerts? Or are you just fascinated by the world of art and like to listen to interesting stories? If so, then we invite you to the special series “Let's meet at NFM”!

Every day we pass each other on the streets, ride the tram together, stand in line or sit in the waiting room. We don't know anything about each other, and we have so much in common. We decided to meet all those who want meetings and discussions dedicated to music and events organized in the National Forum of Music. We will host public figures and representatives of various professions, including: doctors, scientists, businessmen, politicians, clergy, artists and many others. They will share their passion with us and talk about their love of music!

Hanna Suchocka — professor at UAM, PhD, Faculty of Law and Administration. In the years 1980—1985 and 1989—2001 she was a member of the Sejm. In 1992—1993, she served as Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, and in 1997—2000 as Minister of Justice and Attorney General. From 2001 to 2013 she was the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Holy See.

Since 2013 she has been a professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Adam Mickiewicz University.

From 1990 to 2016 she was a member of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (the so-called Venice Commission). Since 2016, she has been honorary president of the Venice Commission.

She is also a member of the group of experts monitoring the implementation of the 2001 Declaration and Programme of Action of the World Conference against Racism (UN), of the Madrid Club since 2001, and, since 2023, of the International Expert Group on the Selection of Judges for the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

He has published numerous scientific publications on constitutional law, the protection of human rights, political transformation and papal diplomacy, as well as books: Roman Passions and Ambassador to the Three Popes.

Privately, she is a music lover. She received honorary citizenship of the cities of Poznań and Wrocław.
