Let's meet at NFM — Prof. Wojciech Pukocz

Do you love music and go to concerts? Or are you just fascinated by the world of art and like to listen to interesting stories? If so, then we invite you to the special series “Let's meet at NFM”!

Every day we pass each other on the streets, ride the tram together, stand in line or sit in the waiting room. We don't know anything about each other, and we have so much in common. We decided to meet all those who want meetings and discussions dedicated to music and events organized in the National Forum of Music. We will host public figures and representatives of various professions, including: doctors, scientists, businessmen, politicians, clergy, artists and many others. They will share their passion with us and talk about their love of music!

Wojciech Pukocz

Wojciech Pukocz was born in 1970 in Mikołów. He is a visual artist, painter, cartoonist, creator of installations, films and multimedia projects combining image, sound and performative activities. In her artistic practice, she has been exploring the relationship between traditional painting medium and new technologies for many years, creating projects situated on the border between painting, digital image, film and live music. A special place in his work is occupied by issues related to memory, space, travel experience and image perception. In 1997 he graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, obtaining a diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Stanisław Kortyka. He remains professionally associated with the university to this day. He is currently a professor at the Department of Architectural Painting and Multimedia, where he runs the Electronic Media and Multimedia Studio, educating subsequent generations of artists and developing his own didactic programs in the field of contemporary media. In the years 2012-2020 he served as Dean of the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. In 2020, he was elected as Rector of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts for a term of office 2020-2024, and in 2024 he was re-elected for another term covering the years 2024—2028.

Wojciech Pukocz's artistic achievements include several dozen individual exhibitions and participation in more than one hundred and fifty collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He is also a curator and organizer of numerous exhibition and educational projects. His creative, didactic and organizational activities consistently combine reflection on contemporary visual culture with active participation in artistic and academic life.
