Let's meet at NFM — Renata Mauer-Różańska

Do you love music and go to concerts? Or are you just fascinated by the world of art and like to listen to interesting stories? If so, then we invite you to the special series “Let's meet at NFM”!

Every day we pass each other on the streets, ride the tram together, stand in line or sit in the waiting room. We don't know anything about each other, and we have so much in common. We decided to meet all those who want meetings and discussions dedicated to music and events organized in the National Forum of Music. We will host public figures and representatives of various professions, including: doctors, scientists, businessmen, politicians, clergy, artists and many others. They will share their passion with us and talk about their love of music!

Renata Mauer-Różańska is a sportswoman, Olympian, athlete specializing in sports shooting and coach, as well as an academic lecturer at the Academy of Physical Education named after the Polish Olympians in Wrocław and a member of the Alumni Council at the Rector of the UEW. From 2010 to 2018 she was a member of the Wrocław City Council. She is a three-time Olympic medalist — she won the Olympic title twice: in Atlanta (1996) and Sydney (2000) and a bronze medal (in Atlanta). In her achievements she also has two runner-up titles and a bronze medal of the world championship. She has repeatedly received medals at the European championships, including forty-three times as the champion and record holder of Poland.

She was awarded twice in the Fair Play competition of the Polish Olympic Committee. The Polish Olympic Academy awarded her the Kalos Kagathos Medal for her extensive social activities to promote the Olympic idea and popularize sport. Renata Mauer-Różańska actively works in the Polish Olympic Committee as a member of the board and the chairwoman of the Women's Sport Commission. She is also vice president of the Lower Silesian Sports Shooting Association and a member of the board of the Association of Polish Olympians. As part of the activities of the Regional Olympic Council of the capital of Lower Silesia, where she holds the position of Vice President, she co-organizes meetings with the Olympians of Wrocław and Lower Silesia. She is an Honorary Citizen of Wrocław and her native Nasielska.
