Bears tend to be white, brown or black. Sometimes gray. They are certainly not blue... But Azul is just that — blue.
Does that make her worse than others? Or is it only those who look only with their eyes, and not with their hearts, who cannot see its true beauty? “Blue Bear” by Joanna M. Chmielewska in the adaptation of Katarzyna Hora is a beautiful touching story about tolerance, a sense of belonging and the discovery of one's own strength. It is a story that reminds us that the world needs many different colors, otherwise it quickly becomes a sad place, devoid of brilliance.
