MEETINGS WITH THE NATIONAL PHILHARMONIC
“Three Colors of Music”
Flute, accordion and drums in search of avant-garde sounds of the 20th and 21st centuries
Hosted by: Marek Murawa
16:00 | tickets: 5 zł
Flute, accordion and drums form a composition rarely seen in chamber music. Each of these instruments operates with a different type of sound, and together they can achieve surprising fullness of sound. The concert will show how musicians use color, rhythm, articulation and dynamics to bring three distinct voices together into a coherent story.
The program will include compositions of the 20th and 21st centuries. The moody melodies will meet the swinging pulse, the energy of the drums and the bolder searches of contemporary creators. The diverse repertoire will allow you to hear both the lyrical and more expressive face of this unobvious trio.
The meeting is a proposal for adult listeners who want to learn about the possibilities of contemporary chamber music and take a closer look at how musical consonance is created. The lecturer's commentary will help to recognize the nature of the individual instruments and the relationships that form between them.
Marek Murawa will lead the meeting and introduce the listeners to the program of the concert prepared by the National Philharmonic as part of the series “Meetings with Music”.
