The subject of reflection, discussion, mutual perception will be one of the texts from the booklet for the exhibition — “Ways of Seeing. Collection of the Museum of Art in Łódź. Anthology of Texts”. After reading and interacting with each other in the Audiovisual Hall, we move on to a certain part of the exhibition. After looking at the work, everyone will make their “impression”, write a poem, make a small artistic action. Each of the participants will receive a red folder with 10 boxes (1 cardboard box for each meeting) and in this way they will be able to create their own booklet, a personal diary of their experiences with contact with the works from the exhibition.

Käthe Kollwitz in her sculpture “Pieta” referred to the theme of Pieta, a frequent depiction in the Middle Ages of the Virgin holding the dead body of Christ on her knees. The sculpture of Käthe Kollwitz is not religious in nature. This is a depiction of a mother holding her son's dead body on her lap. It is a show of the despair of a mother who loses her already grown child in war. This is a kind of protest against the war;

Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (Witkacy) sought in his art what he described as “pure form”. He wrote theoretical texts, dramas, painted paintings. At some point in his life he took up painting portraits. In his work, an important means of expression was deformation and a way of expressive creation proper only for him.
