On October 8 (Thursday) at 5:30pm, we invite you to the Library of Knowledge for an author's meeting with Paweł Piotr Reszka. The topic of discussion will be the author's work, with special emphasis on his latest book. In this house it is no longer scary. Reportage on Jews, Poles and Fate” by Paweł Piotr Reszka (published by Agora Publishing House) is an extremely moving and difficult reportage. This is not another purely historical story about World War II. The author writes about specific people and the unimaginable drama that became their part. The main question of this reportage is: what happens to this memory today? How do these traumas and secrets function in Polish and Jewish families today? Does the evil of the ancestors cast a shadow on their descendants, and is there any inevitable fate hanging over these places? About these years of difficult conversations, about fear and an attempt to reckon with the past, we will talk with the author himself.
